| It is our mission to greet each person whom we meet with Open Doors and Open Hearts, extending a warm welcome and seeking and serving Christ in all persons. | |
| The Episcopal Church welcomes persons from all faith traditions to join us in our worship and work. If you feel that you are ready to make the Episcopal Church your spiritual home, a conversation with the Rector can instruct you in our process of Reception. It is also possible to arrange an Adult Baptism or Confirmation as needed. Members of the church are expected to participate regularly in the worship and work of the church and to support the church through a financial pledge. Each fall the parish engages in a time of pledging but new pledges are accepted at any time. Responsible stewardship of our resources- our people, our building, our history- is very important to us as we work to witness to Christ in the world. Your support in time, talent and treasure is most appreciated.
It can be difficult to know how to break in to a church with the size and activity level of Trinity. Our Newcomer Program attempts to put the prospective or new parishioner at ease and affords opportunities to meet those who enthusiastically make Trinity their spiritual home. Our Newcomer Program includes a Newcomer Information Packet (available through the church office), and a series of Newcomer Teas to meet the clergy and established parishioners. |
Baptisms are held five times a year. The Anglican tradition views Baptism as the formal process of incorporation into the Body of Christ and so it is most appropriate that this sacrament be administered in the context of regular worship with the whole parish family. We do not perform private baptisms at Trinity. If you are baptized in another faith tradition, you need not be re-baptized to join the Episcopal Church. Baptism is a joyful event in our church that initiates the reception of Holy Communion. We do not have a separate First Communion at Trinity. All baptized persons, including infants, are welcome at the table.
Please call the office if you are interested in the Sacrament of Baptism. Getting Started as a Newcomer We are always delighted to welcome new people to our church and to have them join us for prayer and worship. Please speak to any of our ushers or greeters, fill out a visitors card in the pew, or speak to any of the clergy to begin a conversation about Trinity. We welcome your inquiries. Let us know how we can help you become better acquainted with our church. |
